An interesting article by Scott Jenson says that interface patterns of text input on mobile devices are not okay, but few people care about it.
He writes that Android and iOS have a common problem: they copied text editing patterns from desktop computers, but without the menu bar and mouse. This forced them to overload the touch gesture with a wide range of actions: placing the cursor, moving it, selecting text and calling a pop-up menu. The result is an overly complex and ambiguous set of gestures, leading to various user errors.
It's not so scary if you type short snippets of text on social networks or messaging apps. But more complex actions, such as sending an email, become tedious.
At the end of the article, Scott shows and explains the Eloquent prototype, which offers a much simpler solution for text input on mobile devices.
Adobe has introduced a number of technological innovations
Adobe held the MAX conference, where, among other things, it showed a number of impressive new products. In particular:
Generative Match — the ability to combine a text promt and an image for generation. It will help to generate images in the right style, with the right texture or other parameters
Firefly Vector — now it will be possible to generate vector graphics. Logos, prints, illustrations
Generative fill will be delivered for video too!

Polycam Gaussian Splatting. A neural network that makes detailed 3D models of space based on several dozen photos.
You can test it directly in the browser.
EventLabs has released a voice-preserved dubbing video. The Internet is already having fun translating meme videos into foreign languages (29 of them are supported). But in general, it looks promising. And it is already quite applicable for a number of tasks. For example, to translate educational videos in a product.
